Founder - Ashley Thomas
Thank you so much for showing an interest in my football coaching franchise. I want to tell you a little more of the Skillz story and my background which is important for you to know as I will be heavily involved in our day-to-day franchisee support.
Many football coaching & kids programmes rush to franchise their model and do it before they fully have a great product. Skillz has been around since 2012 (2011 the idea on paper was born in my mum and dad's garden), but I have been coaching and working with children for almost 16 years, so really you could say that Skillz has been in the making all this time!
I started coaching at the age of 16 when I went on my FA Level 1 course on my birthday and fell in love with the idea of coaching. I then went on to pass my FA Level 2 by the age of 18, obtained my UEFA B license by the age of 20 (one of the youngest in the country to do so at the time), and completed the FA Youth Award by the age of 23. Busy boy ay!
During these 16 years, I have worked for huge professional setups, most notably Chelsea FC Foundation, and Fulham FC's Academy, where I worked with some top coaches who taught me lots, and I have used their knowledge, my own personal experiences, and my ideas packaging it all together to create Skillz UK. I am also now the proud owner of 3 children's focused businesses each with the goal of spreading lots of joy and giving amazing experiences to children aged 2-13! I have built a team of 8 staff members who have a passion to making a difference in children's lives in our area of Croydon and Sutton!

More About Skillz UK Football Classes and Parties!
Skillz UK was founded in 2012 by Ashley Thomas. Our first-ever class started with just 10 children attending.
The goal has been simple! To create football classes centered around CHILDREN (or our Superstars as we like to call them ⚽️🙂). That means lots of energy, themed games and tonnes of smiles!
To date, we now have over 500 weekly members within Croydon and Sutton at our children's football classes, teaching an additional 300 in our local nurseries and schools.
In 2019 we won "Highly Commended" in the National Whats On 4 Kids Awards 🤩
